Cold Mix Biochar Asphalt

Cold Mix Biochar Asphalt is a surface course engineered with biochar, a stable form of carbon derived from organic waste, and formulated with a proprietary asphalt binder agent that creates a specialized emulsion. This enables a durable bond between the carbon and aggregate, applied at ambient temperature and activated with water, eliminating the need for heat or solvents.

Unlike conventional hot mix asphalt, which emits significant greenhouse gases during production and application, our cold mix solution is:

  • Low-emission and energy-efficient
  • Cost-effective and durable
  • Suitable for year-round use, even in cold climates

Independently validated through field trials at the National Center for Asphalt Technology (NCAT), it has proven to perform reliably under real-world conditions.
